Leeds United have revealed that striker Chris Wood could face time on the sideline after picking up a knock on international duty.
The Leeds and New Zealand player picked up a worrying knock after scoring for his international side against Fiji last week. Whilst the injury sustained was described by the New Zealand boss as ‘not serious’, the striker was still forced to miss his country’s second fixture of the break as a ‘precaution’.

Leeds United face fellow promotion-hopefuls Reading this weekend away from home in a game that both sides will desperately want to take all 3 points from. With just 2 points separating the 2 sides they both sit inside the play off places as the climax of the season approaches, meaning the next time these two face after Saturday could be at Wembley in a promotion decider.
Chris Wood, currently on 24 goals this campaign, will be vital for his clubs chances of winning this game, so Leeds fans will all be hoping that the knock is only minor and he will be back and in fine form for Saturday evening kick off.
Wood is reportedly travelling back to England now for a check up of his injuries ahead of the all important clash this weekend.
