Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly interested in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the Daily Mail reports.
The young midfielder has struggled to find first team action under manager Antonio Conte at Chelsea, and it seems very likely that Loftus-Cheek will be spending time away from the club once the season is over.
Promotion-hopefuls Brighton are said to be one club interested in the 21 year old for the new season, where they hope to be playing football in the Premier League. With a loan deal reportedly being chelsea’s preferred option, the Under 21 England player is apparently keen on securing first team action in order to prove to Chelsea he has what it takes.
Lotus-Cheek has been with Chelsea since the academy days and was promoted to the first team in 2014. Since then he has made 19 appearances for The Blues, 8 of them being during this campaign.
Whilst the youngster may not have the experience Brighton need, having spent so much time with such a high-profile team will certainly have helped his ability, being coached by the likes of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. Loftus-Cheek also has a 100% win ratio with Chelsea this season, showing that despite being young he can still greatly impact a match.
