MATCH PREVIEW: Derby County vs QPR

Unknown-25

The floodlights will be on Friday night at Pride Park Stadium overlooking Derby County as they face visitors QPR in this weeks Friday night fixture.

The mid-table fixture, which will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports, takes place at 7:45 where 10th placed Derby County will be looking win their first game since the 4th March as they take on QPR who put five past struggling Rotherham in their last game.

Despite five places separating the sides only three points are in this gap, meaning a win for QPR would put the two sides level on points as we enter the business end of the season.

The last time these two faced each other was December last year where the visitors on the day Derby County narrowly grabbed all three points thanks to a late Tom Ince goal. Derby manager Gary Rowett will be hoping for a repeated performance from the side he began managing in October last year, as a win on the night would put them just 6 points adrift from the play off places, keeping their slim promotion chances alive.

Derby duo Darren Bent and Bradley Johnson are both in contention to return on Friday, as Bent was out due to illness and Johnson picked up a knock during training last week.

QPR should also have a full squad as prior to this game they too have no injuries or suspensions in their team.

Whilst neither team have too much left too fight for this season the game should be a matter of pride, and as Derby managed to win the reverse fixture away from home our prediction is that they will repeat this and win again at home.
